Thong Trees in the Snow
Over the past few days, we've taken several rides around the Melbourne area. We managed to catch a few of the trail trees we've found along Rose Trail and Jumbo Road.

Homage to Winter in Anticipation of Spring!
Excitement builds each year for us at EIC at each chance of a good snow. Driving the backroads of Izard County when the hills are blanketed in snow gives one a similar feeling as stepping out on the town with your hot-clad sweetheart!
A "similar feeling" because, unlike a night out with your beautiful soulmate, one is most likely glad when an icy rendezvous is over.
An encounter or two per year satisfies the lust for snowy drives!
Therefore, in the hope of Redbuds and Dogwoods, we pay homage to Winters past while inviting glorious Spring!
The video below is compiled of photos and video from the winters of 2007-2009.
ENJOY!

Video: Snow Day Trail Ride!
The ice came first...then snow...lots of snow! Of course we all had to get out in it. We couldn't miss the opportunity to get some images of familiar places adorned with this beautiful snow! We had no place in particular to go...we just found ourselves in the areas of Flat Rock (just across the Sharp County line) and Pleasant Grove (near Wideman).
Hooray for Rick's Wrangler!
Special thanks to Martin at Ozark Traditions.org (new website under development) for use of the organization's collection of Traditional Ozark Mountain Music! Visit the organization's new YouTube page!

Our readers have waited long enough! You KNEW we'd not have missed the opportunity to get images of Izard County on Ice...and you were CORRECTOMUNDO!
Last Sunday, January 3rd, we did get out in the snow and decided to gather video and images from the western part of the county including Knob Creek Road, Mill Creek, Jumbo, Boswell, and Piney Creek!
Enjoy!
