Our Boys From the USN Enjoy Izard County!

While standing on a bluff with at least a 270 degree view of the surrounding hills and overlooking White River, I happened to catch this!

Here in the D.C. area, in the days running up to the war in Afghanistan and in Iraq, we saw several of these "fly-overs." But we don't have such a wide-angle view of the horizon. Too many buildings in the way!

We hear jets from time to time as they fly the course of the river. It was cool to be in the right place at the right time for this one. It was only a twin-engine corporate-type trainer.
About 15 minutes after this one flew by, a civilian corporate jet flew by (camera already stowed).
