Pumpkin Center, Icy Pilot Knob

Pumpkin Center was a thriving little community back in some long ago day. The little town boasted saloons, a hotel, a mill, and a couple of general stores. It's an amazing place where Knob Creek flows into Mill Creek. In one photo, you can see a large piece of sheet metal that was deposited in a tree on Super Tuesday by the tornado that ripped through the county a full 6-8 miles away.
Because I was suffering from the flu last week, I was unable to get out to get shots of the ice-covered diamond lace that covered the county after an ice-storm. The icy shot of Pilot Knob was the remains, this morning, of a lighter icing Izard County received on Thursday.
