Museum of Imagination at Brockwell

This morning we visited the Museum of Imagination in Brockwell. The Museum is owned and operated by Mr. and Mrs. Al Lorenzi and can be toured on an appointment only basis. Mr. Lorenzi's goal is to attract local school and civic groups to the site for an educational experience usually only available in larger cities.
The Lorenzi's have put much thought into their unique labor of love and are both eager to teach the public about the natural environment and ways to help preserve it for future generations
The Museum of Imagination offers hands-on activities and features many exhibits fashioned just for children. There are various interactive games set up around the building that help reinforce the information contained in the exhibits.
This place is another hidden jewel in our area and though it has little to do with local history or local geology, it offers a great opportunity for area residents to get out and explore their world outside of Izard County.
In addition to the many exhibits, the museum houses a library of books dealing with nature and the environment that includes several thousand volumes.
We are planning to hold a group activity sometime after the holidays which will feature a trip to the Museum of Imagination and hope you will consider bringing your family along.
