Jack Schoolhouse

We saw this old school from distance one day when we were out exploring the eastern side of the county. This morning we set out to find it again though we were not sure what schoolhouse it was.
It is Jack's Schoolhouse located near the county line in the old Strawberry township area of the county.
The school, built in the summer of 1919 was likely built to relieve overcrowding at Hickory Flat School. The school consolidated in 1949 dividing its students between Evening Shade and Melbourne. The building was used as the voting precinct for the Strawberry Township even after the school was discontinued.
