This announcement must have been heartbreaking for the organizer of the first-of-its-kind event in Izard County, Roger Harvell:
I am so sorry to report that the reenactment for tomorrow and Sunday has been cancelled. Two companies called and said they were not coming because of weather reports. That doesn't leave us with enough to put on a show. As for the unveiling of the marker, we are having a cemetery memorial on the 16th and I think we might move the unveiling to that date.
I'm sick about it, but there's nothing to do,
