Wideman; Harber House and Flat Rock Hollow

The Harber House stands on State Highway 56 near the Wideman Road. Flat Rock Church and Hollow are both nearby. The house is pre civil-war.

What type of camera do you use, Al Ozarka. Your pics are always so clear and sharply focused. They're great!

"...so clear and sharply focused."

You should see my stack of rejects, Ms. Green!

Until recently, I used my trusty little Nikon 5600 point and shoot for every shot. A few weeks ago, a longstanding wish came true and I was able to order a new Nikon D40 DSLR.

This post contains photos from both cameras. The Harber House with the D40...Flat Rock Hollow with the 5600 (I didn't want to drag my brand new D40 through the wet brush).

My 14 year-old son actually took the photos of the fungi and the muddy branch waterfall.

He's got a pretty good eye and we're starting to use him as a camera man. I think he'll do a great job.

I'm still learning the ins and outs of my D40. One of these days I'll hopefully take some real quality images with it.

Thanks for the compliment.
