Devil's Knob/Devil's Backbone Natural Area

Devil's Knob/Devil's Backbone Natural Area is one of the few places one can access without permission from a landowner. It features two bluff-lined peaks joined by a "saddle". We've been intending to do this hike which only covers the bluff along one side of the feature for some time and decided to take the kids today because of the wonderful weather.

Colt's Labyrinth (Mill Creek)

Colt's Labyrinth Post at EIC Journal!

When our brave G.I.s come home for a little R&R, it's a lot of work! But it's worth it!
Colt, a friend of Ryan's(EIC Crew)...and just out of his Army AIT, is on leave before going to his permanent duty assignment and was gracious enough to take us to a bluff shelter on his land. We had heard about this site over a year ago and have been itching to see it. We were rewarded for our efforts with an awe-inspiring hike up the side of a steep hill and along, through and atop a fractured bluffline.
The prize of the trip was to observe the artwork applied to the underside of the shelter. Thrilling!
